First Time User Registration for UAS Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

ILLiad is the UAS Egan Library Interlibrary Loan system which enables you to:

  1. Place requests for articles, books, audiovisual material and more
  2. Check on the status of your requests
  3. Ask for renewals on requests placed through ILLiad
  4. Access electronic copies of articles, book chapters, and other documents received electronically
  5. Maintain your own personal contact information
  6. Maintain your own request history

It is your responsibility to keep your contact information (email, phone, address) in ILLiad current. Changes to your Capital City Libraries library card record are not automatically carried over to ILLiad.

If you are not already a registered JLC Libraries user (blue library card with barcode), please fill out our library card registration form before creating your ILLiad account, in order to receive your library account. After you register for your library card, please continue to your ILLiad registration.

Important Copyright Information

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

The Egan Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
